AS WE STROLL THE HIGHLANDS....

As we stroll
the rainy highlands
of Virigina
it stirs something deep
in our Scottish souls
and makes us dream of
the scent of heather......

Even though no
self respecting
Scottish dog
would wear a raincoat,
we give in
because we like to lie
on the couch
after our stroll.

We, especially the boys,
love to splash in mud-puddles
and run in the rain -
Mom doesn't always approve!!

We check out the fields
for new born babes.

Too soon,
Mom makes us come in
and dry off

and now we are

dreaming of summer
in our peaceful slumber.

It will be here before we know it!!

XOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ruairi

  1. Towels and mud have become a part of our daily routine here with all the rain:( Bring on the sun.

  2. Mud is plentiful in our back yard - days are spent cleaning little footprints off of the hardwood floors. Even with towelling, the footprints seem to remain - more rain expected today, so the towels are ready by the back door!! Hope to see the sun soon :o)

  3. I want to know what is wrong with a good muddy walk in the rain then going straight to lie down on the couch?

  4. OH GOOD GRIEF! I love that raincoat! I mean...if you have to get on the couch after a rainy walk, then you must make a sacrifice. I guess. Although I really don't know what could be wrong with a wet couch.

  6. Mom says that the worst part of winter ending and spring coming is the mud. We don't agree with her at all!

  8. Love the rain coat. We would have to chase the Bug around the house and drag her from under the couch before she would allow that. She is S.P.O.I.L.E.D. Waiting and dreaming of spring. 3-4 inches of snow this morning.

  9. We're having a lot of close encounters with towels, too. But that's because we've been in the river.

    Raining today.
