MOVING UP ON FAT TUESDAY

I'm hoping you haven't noticed
that the ticker on my weight
is not moving -
I must admit,
I've been having some major food issues -
need to kick those
delicious
Girl Scout Cookies
to the c
urb!!

I have to keep reminding myself
that the scale is only one measure
of health.

And that now I can easily walk
for 30 minutes on my treadmill -
without holding on all the time.
I'm noticing that not only
is my endurance better,
but my balance is better too -
and that's a major thing -
I've always been clumsy,
but the older and stiffer I get,
the harder it is to get up.

And that 251 calories I burned -
how many pancakes does that translate to
on a
Fat Tuesday?

Happy Mardi Gras!!

Blessings to all who visit here,
Lynn

  1. Here in this part of PA, doughnuts are the thing to eat on Fat Tuesday - people order dozens for the day before fasting for Lent. Hard to stay on a diet with all these goodies around!! Sounds like you're making progress, though, Lynn. Keep up the good work :o)

  2. Today is a special day - just celebrate all the wonderful changes you have made so far. Forget the scale, it usually lies anyway:)

I have tried to use the treadmill but that flat pounding really bothers my back. I have to bug the DH for an elliptical.

Happy Mardi Gras Day to you.

  6. Way to go with your 30 minutes on the treadmill!

I recently started doing these leslie sansone walk at home videos. I've commited to doing 5 miles a day. I'm happy to report I did 5 miles on Monday and Tuesday. So far today I've done 2, 3 more to go through out the day. Baby boys birthday part is in April and I just feel so chuby and feel like I should have lost this stinken baby weight by now! My goal is 5 miles a day 5 days a week.... maybe I'll see results soon! xo

Keep up the good work :)
