GLUTEN - TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT??

I'm wondering if any of you
have any experience with a
gluten free diet.

Last week my husband
talked with a lady whose
migraines were definitely
linked to gluten in her diet.
The next day,
I called my doctor to
see if I could be tested
for gluten allergies.
My doctor said it could be
up to two weeks before I
would know the results of the test,
but I should start the gluten free diet anyway-
so I have.

So far I haven't had anything
that looks as delicious
as these homemade
but I think if I can find all
of the ingredients,
I might give it a try.
Truthfully,
I've been having a lot
of one-egg omelets.
I like them,
but I know that will get old
fairly quickly.

Soon,
I'll be pining away
for a sandwich -
looks delish,
doesn't it?
I like to bake bread,
so maybe I'll be adventurous
and give it a whirl.

Do any of you have
any hints or gluten-free recipes
that you like?

Have you been following a
gluten free diet?

Blessings to all who visit here,
Lynn

  1. I was diagnosed as gluten intolerant 3 years ago and I immediately went into a panic because I thought I'd never eat anything tasty again! However, with the help of Gluten Free Girl, a few cooking classes, and a lot of research at the library I am happier and healthier. To me, being doubled over in pain after eating gluten for hours isn't worth it. However, I do cheat every so often because the temptation is always there!

  2. First of all, I cant believe that you actually posted again LOL

I have never done a gluten free diet but I was talking to an old friend the other day, Her grandson used to me very destructive and phyiscal with his mom and sister, the mom even had bruises from him hitting her. It wasnt that she didnt disclipline him or anything. They were told he was ADHD. My friend said that the mom switched to a glutten diet several years ago and that he has changed like night and day.

He isnt violent anymore, no outburst, he studies much better, and is sweet and caring. So it worked for them. The mom since has taken classes, and is now teaching classes on it. So I would say try it and try the chiropractor too!!
